Dr. James Famiglietti is a senior water scientist at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., and an Earth System Science professor at the University of California, Irvine. He uses NASA satellite observations to create advanced hydrological models and to study the global water cycle and changes in freshwater availability. Famiglietti is also an author who has made numerous television appearances and is frequently interviewed by the media.
