Veronica Nieves is a climate scientist at JIFRESSE/UCLA and JPL Affiliate in the Sea Level And Ice group. She studies the ocean’s role in the Earth's climate system under global climate change, with particular emphasis on regional coastal sea level. She is lead developer / contributor of several models and techniques for identifying regional coastal sea level variability and change, extracting salinity / freshwater content information, characterizing ocean currents and eco-hydro-geomorphological processes. Veronica is a member of the NASA Sea Level Change Team.​
